Hi, I', Billy Beck III from BB3 Personal Training Center here in Weston, South Florida. In this video, I'm going to teach you about power band exercises. And to help demonstrate, Super Trainer, Chrisie Allemand. Now, this is power band. What's important is that this is sec, secured properly and that means that it's not going anywhere. And they're also, you always want to check them and make sure there's no frail occurring because if one of these things go, you're going to be in trouble. So, what power bands, you don't lift slowly normally. If you want to develop power, you train fast. So, Chrisie, go ahead; we're going to do a basic squat with the power bands. So, go ahead and get in position; when you lift off, you're going to be careful, normally there would be someone spotting. So, what you're going to do is you're going to squat, go down slow the first, feel it out and then what you're going to do is you're going to go down fast and up fast. Down fast and up fast, so it's a speed squat and that's going to develop more power. Perfect. Now, you could add more weight to the bar; for this, we're just warming up, we're just demonstrating, so we're just using the band on the bar which weighs 45 pounds. Go ahead and stop. Step forward slowly under control. Make sure it's in. Lock it down. I'm Billy Beck III, and this is about power band exercises.
