  • Hi, my name is Ashley Mitchell. I'm a New York City personal trainer with Lift Your Way To Fit here at Lift Gym, here to show you some rubber band hand exercises. So go ahead and grab a sturdy band and choose the finger that you want to start off with and we're going into a finger bend. So with control you're going to bend that finger back to hold for three seconds before slowly releasing and wrapping that band on the next finger. So going through each hand, do it about two or three minutes on each hand before switching and then you're ready for our finger extension. So you're going to go ahead and have the band around all your fingers to take it out and back in and just up and back in. So about three seconds, really just thinking about control the entire time and once you've worked each hand about two to three minutes you're going to switch and we're going into our final exercise which are our wrist extensions where your hand is flat on a surface and the band is wrapped around your fingers to take it back, holding for three counts again before releasing. And those are just three basic exercises to use with a rubber band that will really help you get the work that you need to have done for that flexibility that's very much needed.
